Occurs as thin horizons in the olivine chromitite (sample SW-8A); coarse-grained chromite from main ore zone of Mountain View mine. There are 11 chromite cycles within the Peridotite member (A-K), each cycle bounded by olivine chromitite on the footwall and harzburgite (SW-7, SW-8B) on the hanging wall. This sample is from the G-layer, which was the most economic layer for chromite but low in Pt and Pd.
